BC Photographer Successful in Professional Photographers' Association of BC
Annual Print Salon Competition

Local photographer, Diane C. Nicholson of Armstrong, had an image accepted and exhibited in the Professional Photographers’ Association of BC’s (PPABC) 2003 Print Salon.  The judging took place in Prince George, BC, on March 2, by a select panel of qualified professional photographers.  Her image will also be included in the PPABC’s Travelling Print Salon, a show that displays work from the best of BC’s photographers and reaches most areas of the province.

Nicholson’s print, The Shadow, is an image of a mare and foal running towards the camera, banked in perfect unison. “Diane’s love for animals shows in her work, time and time again, Brenda Hala, a Vernon photographer who had 2 images accepted, says.  “Because of her extensive knowledge of and caring for animals, she is able to make her images stand above others.  Diane is the only Equine photographer nationally accredited by the Professional Photographers of Canada.”

The PPABC is in its 58th year and is committed to promoting and fostering the personal ethics and professional development of the working photographer.  This is done through education, fellowship, and by having its members adhere to the standards and ethics of the Association.
